Perth Hotels With Our Staycation - Your 3 Nights Getaway
Perth is a stunning picturesque city beside the Historic River Tay in central Scotland. The Fergusson Gallery, in a former circular water tower, features the paintings of 20th-century Scottish Colourist John Duncan Fergusson and works by his wife, dancer Margaret Morris. The Famous Scottish Black Watch Museum, at the Black Watch regiment’s ancestral home in Balhousie Castle, shows uniforms, medals, weapons, and paintings. Nearby is the Perth Museum and Art Gallery.
Scone Palace, in Perth, was the original home of the Stone of Destiny. Historically, this was an integral part of the tradition when crowning Scottish Kings. The stone now lies on display in Edinburgh Castle, but a replica can still be seen at Scone Palace.
There are also seven distinctive castles of note in Perthshire. These are Scone Palace, Blair Castle, Castle Menzies, Elcho Castle, Huntingtower Castle, Doune Castle, and Drummond Castle.
We are lucky in Perthshire to have not one, but two very iconic distilleries! We have Scotland’s oldest with Glenturret, and also Scotland’s smallest with Edredour. Well worth checking out and enjoying a little tipple afterward.
